Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving, I certainly did.
My family are all very nice and it was wonderful to see them again. I've
returned, fresh from the break, with more exciting news for you!
Also, I apologize for the hat-trick of messages I sent
out last time. It's a poor carpenter who blames his tools, but honestly,
Outlook Express just went crazy. Hopefully that won't happen again!

Registration for the winter Fishtrap starts Wednesday,
November 28th! The topic is Living Right: Empathy, Charity, and
Responsibility.

Curious about Graphic Novels? I bet you are! Well we've
got just the thing for you! The illustrious Dr. Walter Hesford of the
University of Idaho English Department will be hosting a discussion of
Jewish Themes in Graphic Novels. The event will be on the second floor of
the University of Idaho library. The last session is still free and open to
the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend. The remaining session will
be Thursday, November 29th, 7pm: The Rabbi's Cat by Joann Sfar Again,
everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend, and if you'd like to read the
books, we will have them at BookPeople shortly! For more information,

Get Bach to the Kitchen, by members of the
Washington-Idaho Symphony, this Saturday, December 1st, from 10am - 2pm at
BookPeople! We will be having a party to celebrate the cookbook in-store,
and we will have snacks and food from recipes you can find in the book! This
cookbook would make a superb gift for any lover of music or food, and the
proceeds go to benefit the symphony, making it not only an excellent
purchase but one you can feel great about as well!
The Moscow Arts Commission is no longer accepting
submissions from local and regional artists for the 7th Annual Winter
Solstice Festival, but it won't be long before they are accepting
appreciating art-lovers! The show will open December 14 and run through
February 1 at the Third Street Gallery in Moscow City Hall.
Folk singer and storyteller (and all-around awesome
woman) Rosalie Sorrels will perform in Lewiston at the Williams Conference
Center on LCSC campus on Friday, November 30th. Admission is Free, Readers,
so don't miss this opportunity to see an amazingly talented artist.
The Mirror Theater presents Shakespeare Sundays! You, the
audience, will do the acting for these performances. Come sign in at 1:15
for the part you're dying to play. No preference is given for race, gender,
or age, and scripts are provided! If you're musically inclined, then come
accompany the acts on your instrument of choice! The schedule: The Merchant
of Venice: December 2nd and 16th Henry the Fourth, Part I: January 13th and
27th Hamlet: February 10th, 24th and March 16th The Tempest: May 4th and
18th. A two-dollar contribution is required to participate. The plays will
be based on the Oxford Shakespeare, second edition, but as noted above,

news - the best one ever will be at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center
this December! That's right, readers, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is
coming to Moscow, courtesy of the Moscow Community Theatre! Tickets are,
