Greetings, Readers! Have we ever got a show for you this week!

On top of a few recurring themes from previous editions, we have a whole new slew of news for your perusal. I hope you enjoy what we have to tell you!

June 1 - The University of Montana is hosting a screening of "Kicking Loose Gravel Home", a film biography of Richard Hugo. The screening is free and open to the public. It is part of the Big Sky series "Poetry on Film." The screening is at the Historic Wilma Theatre (Wilma 3 downstairs) in downtown Missoula.

June 4th - Writers Unite! At 7pm at the 1912 Center in Moscow, specifically. Interested in forming writing groups? Show up Monday, June 4th at 7pm, at the 1912 center (412 E. 3rd St), and find out more!

June 21st - The Idaho Repertory Theatre opens its summer season with "Elvis People", a hunka hunka hit by Doug Grissom. 9 our of 10 people in America are, in fact, Elvis People - are you one? Find out this June!

June 30th - Paula Coomer will read and sign her new book, Summer of Government Cheese, from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm, right here at Book People.

July 7th - Clay Eals will be at Book People from 4pm to 7pm, to talk about his book "Facing the Music", a biography of Steve Goodman. "Facing the Music" has won critical acclaim and Brian Gill will also be around, and may even favor the crowd with a song before his concert, which will follow at the One World Cafe.

July 21st at Midnight - the 7th and final Harry Potter book is coming out. And we at Book People will be celebrating! We are offering a 20% discount for any pre-paid preorders, and midnight pickup for everyone! Not to mention a Bertie Bott's Every-Flavoured Bean tasting contest (or, to be more accurate, a bad-flavoured bean tasting contest. It wouldn't be any fun at all if everyone got the tasty ones, now would it?) Watch our store windows for suggestions on what to read until Harry comes out!

Rendezvous in the Park is coming up! Book People of Moscow will be selling tickets and buttons. This year, tickets for individual shows will be available in advance. Adults, tired of waiting for Harry? Take Linda Cronquist's advice, and check out the Dresden Files, featuring the private-detective/wizard Harry Dresden! Not only are they excellent reading, but they will even help you refrain from idle snacking, because once you pick one up you won't want to put it down for anything! We have many more recommendations on the way, courtesy of Book People of Moscow and the Society for Excellent Fantasy Reading Between Harry Potter Novels (which I just made up right now, but rather like the sound of).

Also, on a last note, please remember that the deadline for registering for Festival Dance's excellent summer offerings is June 4th. Check out their website at www.festivaldance.org - they have something for everybody!

Take care, Readers! I wish you all of the best (and then some!)

Also, I forgot an item! Fairy Tale Flip Flop - Free Screening Thursday, May 31st at 1:00pm, with the main Performance Friday, June 1st at 7:00pm. The Friday event requires a ticket, which can be purchased at MC5. The suggested donation for a ticket is $2, but I know that some of you kind and generous folks will be inclined to do better than that! Dig deep, support Children's theatre! Both presentations are at the Hartung Theatre in Moscow. Come see the Moscow Charter School Children's Theatre Production - marvel at the trills and laughs afforded by Moscow's finest young thespians in their latest and greatest on-stage event! I hope you all will attend, and enjoy, the festivities.

Take care, Readers, and please accept my humble apologies for the double-serving of mail this evening. Next week, I hope to return to our regularly scheduled single, error-free emails.
