Wednesday, November 15th, the Moscow Community Creative Writing Workshop will be in BookPeople reading at 7:00 PM. The reading will feature new works of nonfiction, poetry, and fiction, and, as always, refreshments will be served.

Thursday, Bakeless Award winner Ann Pancake will read at WSU. She will read at 7:30 at the Museum of Art. Pancake grew up in West Virginia, traveled the world as an English teacher, returned for an M.A. from North Carolina and a Ph.D. at University of Washington. She teaches at Behrend College at Pennsylvania State University-Erie. A journal worth noting: A Public Space, which features editorials, art, poetry, fiction and essays. Issue 02 features a fascinating editorial that asks whether modern culture is "paradigmatically different" from earlier times? Has even our music become complacent and overly accepting of injustice and the status quo? The issue also features a focus section on Russia in the modern era.

Saturday, November 18th, there will be a Contra Dance at the 1912 Center. Show up at 7:30 for a learning session, 8:00pm to dance.

Sunday the 19th, Scott Bravo will perform works on acoustic guitar at The Attic, 7:00 PM.

The Auditorium Chamber of Music is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year. Its upcoming concert will be done by the American Chamber Players November 30th at 7:30pm, located in the University of Idaho Auditorium. The American Chamber is an ensemble of strings and piano, with works ranging from Mozart to Dutilleux. If you want more information visit www.auditoriumchambermusic.org

Northwest Public Radio will be featuring two locally relevant Holiday programs this year. They will kick off the fun with Garrison Keillor Thursday,

November 23rd at 9am until 10am. This radio emission is titled "We Gather Together with Garrison Keillor."

The next and most important, of course, will be this area's very own Dan Maher. Dan will be a part of "The Inland Folk Christmas Celebration." December 23rd at 11am until 2pm. These are Holiday features, try to enjoy the festive spirit and tune in.

On or around December 10th, tickets will go on sale for the Human Rights Breakfast. They will be $8.00, and the breakfast will be at Moscow Junior High School on Saturday, January 13th, 9:00 AM.

Mark your calendars December 15th and 17th the Idaho Washington Concert Chorale will be performing "Laud to the Nativity." The 15th show will be at 7:30pm and the 17th show will be at 3:00pm. Both will be in Uniontown at the St. Boniface Catholic Church.
