Hello and a good evening to all! I am very pleased to announce that we at Bookpeople have a very busy month of September scheduled for you all. Kicking off the festivities we will be showcasing the Marimba Band. They will be playing at Book People, starting at 10am until 11:30am on Saturday, September 2nd. Feel free to stop on by and enjoy this engaging and talented group!

The following Friday, September 8th, we will be welcoming Alex Kuo to speak about his new novel, The Panda Diaries at 8pm. Kuo is visiting Bookpeople as part of his Reading to the Wheat tour and will be traveling to other locations in the Palouse region. The Panda Diaries is a scintillating story about an ex- secret service operative whose mailman is a panda bear.

On the 16th, Joe McGeshick joins us to read his new work of collected poetry, Indian in the Liqour Cabinet. He will begin reading at 7pm. Indian in the Liqour Cabinet features poems relating to his experience in northeastern Montana.

Poet Paula Coomer will be speaking at noon on the 23rd. She will be delivering several stories and poems. Here is an excerpt from one of her selected poems:
"I have never seen the devil at the crossroads
but he has blue eyes.
sometimes I dream regret is a stop sign.
what if it is a sin to remain uncomfortable."

Lastly, Terry Abraham will be appearing to talk about his book Mountains So Sublime, which is a history of British travelers and explorers in the American West. He will be in our store 10am to noon. Well, that is it. Hopefully we will see some of you here to attend our events. I wish you all well, and have a pleasant evening. Until we meet again!
